Konnekt 24D 오디오 인터페이스 포럼에서 생긴 일

연초부터 TC 사의 오디오 인터페이스 64bit 드라이버가 나온다는 소식이 있었는데. 질질 끌다가 마침내 4월 쯤, 공지가 떴다.

한 달 안에 완성될 것 같다고… 그런데 한달 후, 다시 공지가 달렸다.

‘늦어서 죄송한데 버그가 많아서 약간 지연되고 있어서2주 내에는 나올 것 같습니다….’

3주 후, 여전히 안나오고 운영자는 공지도 없었다. 이미 64bit 운영체제를 설치해 곡작업도 못하고 있던 난 화딱지가 나서 조용하던 게시판에 항의글을 올렸다.

 I’m angry that they have no explanation about this limitness delay. I’m concerned about how long time use my computer without sounds.

That bugs may be not apply to everyone. If the bugs have problem on MAC system, then they could release Windows version first. Or, if they will say the bugs have problem on WDM or MME, then we could use ASIO for the present. (기한 없는 지연에 해명이 없는 것에 화가 난다. 언제까지 소리 없는 컴퓨터를 써야하지? MAC에 버그가 있으면 윈도버전부터 내놓으면 되고, WDM, MME에 버그가 있으면 ASIO를 일단 쓰게 하면 되지..) 그러자 달린 어느 유저의 답변.

you should have researched the product you were buying. you bought something with no 64 bit drivers even though you needed them… foolish. the wait for these drivers is tough, but moaning on this thread, making it a load of timewasting shite to read through, doesn’t help anything. just wait.

(알아보지도 않고 64bit 가 지원 안되는 제품을 왜 샀냐 어리석긴. 여기서 떼써봤자 변하는건 없다. 그냥 기다려라.)

이 어이 없는 답글에 사람들이 글을 달기 시작하면서 문제가 커졌다.

Should we always assume that a seller is a crook? That there is no “information”, but a “marketing lie”? Think a little bit. This does not hurt. Are you a customer or a seller? Which side do you represent? Where is your business? How would you benefit of blaming “foolish people who believe in marketing lies”?

(I’m not sure my english is correct) I had used Konnect24D on Windows Vista x32, but I felt the necessity of x64 OS for working efficiency and memory extension. So I had installed 64bit OS on my PC because three weeks ago I heard that the 64bit drivers could be released during next two weeks. Just waiting, we never change anything. Someone wanted the 64bit drivers, and they started to make a suggestion. Now, developers know everyone want the 64bit drivers so they have started to develop the 64bit drivers. I’m sorry for my excessive demand. But you should know how many people are waiting for these drivers. TC seems to have no concern about this broken promise.

(32bit 비스타에서 써왔는데 메모리 확장이 필요했다.. 근데 마침 3주 전에 곧 2주내로 64bit드라이버가 릴리즈된다는 소식을 듣고 64bit os를 깔았다.

기다리는것 만으론 아무것도 못바꾼다. 누군가 64bit드라이버를 원했고 제안을 하기 시작했다. 그리고 이제는 개발자는 모두가 64bit 드라이버를 원하는 것을 알기 때문에 개발중이다.

무리한 요구를 해서 미안하지만 당신은 모두가 그 드라이버를 기다리고 있다는 사실을 알아야 한다.. TC측은 약속을 깬 것에 대해 신경쓰지 않는 것 같다.)

(대략.. 64bit 드라이버가 필요치 않은 시절땐 아무런 결점이 없어보였던 TC 제품이었지만 최근에는 대용량 램과 DDR3램이 대세이기 때문에 64bit 드라이버는 필수적이다. 알아보지 않고 산 것을 비난하는 건 옳지 않다.)

this is absolutely ridiculous, software development projects (such as writing drivers) usually have life cycle that most likely should include a release date, i am under the impression that the developers at TC are just amateurs trying to write software for a product that actually sounded like a great idea,instead it has proven to be rather problematic software wise. we as consumers should be given at leat a less ambiguos response from the TC Staff regarding the real status of the drivers. i must admit i do feel ripped off by tc, i bought a konnect live back in december or so with high expectations, which have not been met. i was aware there were no 64 bit drivers at the time but guessed that the fact admins on  forum said “they were coming soon” actually meant something, now i am sure it doesn’t mean s**t.

for those reading here, take your money elsewhere because at the current pace we are moving,our 64 bit drivers will be ready by the time Windows freakin’ EIGHT is out, and most likely will be filled enough with bugs that would probably render them useless anyway.

and if you wonder why do i stick to a tc product i’m not happy with? easy, i paid for it and expect to be satisfied with the service.

(이건 완전 이상하다. 개발 프로젝트는 보통 릴리즈 날짜를 정해두는데.. 아마 TC 개발자는 아마추어같다. 우린 소비자로서 드라이버 진행상황에 대해 확실한 대답을 받을 필요가 있다. 여기서 글들을 읽을 바에 당신의 돈을 다른데 써라.. 지금 속도로 움직이다간 64bit 드라이버는 윈도 8이 나와서야 준비될 거다. 그리고 그건 버그로 가득하겠지 ㅋㅋ)
